Thursday, June 20, 2024 @ 2:00pm. Northern California veterans’ organizations and the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (SVNC) will gather to give proper military honors to unaccompanied veterans that have been interred at SVNC. This will be a quarterly event held at committal shelter one (1) and will occur the third Thursday of March, June, September, and December of every year.
SVNC and The Missing in America Project (MIAP) works jointly with the efforts of private, state, and federal organizations to give these veterans and their eligible dependents a final resting place. Many of the veterans come to us via the Public Administrator or the Coroner’s office (various counties in the region). It is our honor to provide this service to our veterans, so they are properly honored. Please join us in this special event.

SVNCSC hosts one major event each year the Memorial Day Commemoration Ceremony at SVNC: Watch this space for announcements of fun events that we invite the public to attend and support us so we can support the cemetery for these events.
The annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 @ 0900 hours
*The ceremony normally runs 30-45 minutes.
