“The SVNCSC is proud to support the Service Veterans of Northern California Volunteer Honor Guard, a nonprofit charitable Veteran Service Organization whose primary duty is to augment the respective military service branches and to provide the three rifle-volley salute. The firing of the three-rifle volley salute is available for retirees and veterans Monday and Friday by appointment upon request of the family by contacting the Service Veterans of Northern
California Volunteer Honor Guard at (415) 619-9554 or visiting www.svncvhg.org. The services of the SVNCVHG are performed at no cost to the family of the deceased. Please note, other retirees’ / veterans’ services taking place on the same day may affect the SVNCVHG availability.”.
SVNCSC is a very active group that supports the cemetery on two major events. Memorial Day and Wreaths Across America. They fundraise throughout the year to support these events through various activities. See the EVENTS section of this website for updates.

Due to a number of circumstances, there will not be a formal Wreaths Across America service at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. Honorary Wreaths for each branch of service will be on display on December 18th. Only section one will have wreaths from Wreaths Across America (WAA). If you purchased a wreath specifically from WAA and you wish to have it placed at your loved one's site, not in section one, please advise and we will arrange it. Once again, Remember a Vet, with the Wreath Project will adorn the remainder of the sites with holiday boughs. For the schedule and pick up locations, please visit www.wreathproject.org.
